It was easy to contact Occupational Therapy (OT) by text or email. Received quick and knowledgeable responses. Clear and swift communication with the OT Team, they have always listened to any concerns and addressed at the earliest convenience.Maintain our staffing levels to ensure availability of team members to children and young people (CYP) and their families.CYP, parents/carers and educational settings receive the support they need at the time they need it.
OT was knowledgeable in relation to forward planning. OT Team are helpful and provide professional input.Ensure staff regularly attending training courses and keeping specialist knowledge up to date.CYP, parents/carers and educational settings receive the support they need at the time they need it.
OT Team helpful with transition and proactive in their support however, you had difficulties with the equipment service which resulted in you transferring seating to another setting yourself.Continue with the current support offered for transitions. Communication regarding the equipment provision is discussed in a monthly meeting with the equipment provider. Specific concerns raised with commissioners and service managers.CYP, parents/carers and educational settings will experience smooth transition. Reduced issues with provision of equipment from the provider.
OT was flexible, understanding and helped to problem solve.Team members are encouraged through regular supervision to analyse occupational performance, reflect and seek support with problem solving.CYP, parents/carers and educational settings feel confident in supporting their child with equipment and advice provided.
