Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
Abuse and neglect can affect a child at any age. The abuse can be so damaging that some children may take a long time to recover. In some cases the effects of the abuse will stay with them forever.
A webinar has been developed by the Educational Psychology Service in collaboration with the Somerset Parent Carer Forum as part of a Public Health project. It is for parents and carers who want to prevent Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) or support their child(ren) to heal from previous adversity.
You can find more information on the Report a child at risk page on the Somerset County Council website.
You can also find information about keeping children safe in Somerset on the Somerset Safeguarding Children Partnership website.
